Known for its romance and a really good time, could this be the ideal destination to wed?
Imagine reciting your vows with the glistening Indian Ocean in the background or standing on a floating aisle where the infinity pool disappears into the distance. Wedding Travel Specialist Anita Gatley recently visited the Indonesian island and found some wonderful wedding locations with wow-factor!
“Bali has a number of spectacular wedding venues–think tropical gardens, waterfalls, white sandy beaches, beautiful glass chapels, clifftop venues, resorts and ballrooms, as well as contemporary villas. Whether it is just the two of you eloping or a group of your nearest and dearest, there really is something for every couple and every budget.
It’s a very popular spot for clifftop wedding venues, which make for some seriously breathtaking scenery. Away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Bali with hundreds of motorbikes, cars and general noise and chaos you’ll find the areas of Jimbaran Bay and Uluwatu which are famous for Clifftop venues. Stay at nearby Nusa Dua and then venture further to Seminyak, Legian, Sanur or up to Ubud so you don’t have the traffic hassles.
Clifftop Villas do tend to be more expensive than other villas which don’t offer such grand vistas; but this doesn’t mean that you can’t have one. Just work with your wedding planner to trim the budget elsewhere. Your wedding travel specialist will obtain the best flights, accommodation and transport rates whilst working with the local wedding planner to make sure all things are taken care of.
Indonesia is a very religious country so if you wish your wedding to be legal it must involve a religious ceremony. Some couples prefer to marry at home prior to going to Bali and then have a non-legally binding blessing ceremony or commitment ceremony. So, why not think of an exotic destination wedding in beautiful Bali? This is what sets them apart and will give you the confidence that if anything does go wrong they have your back.
