The Libraries are a series of historic and artful spaces, ideal for intimate gatherings with your nearest and dearest. Unlike anything else, our unique space feature The Lounge, with brick walls and a stunning private bar; The Wine Library, a loft-like enclave with towering shelves and eye-catching Kauri centrepiece; The Chef's Library, a private dining area for mouth-watering meals; and The Papuke Room, our largest space, filled with natural light and a mix of old and new textures.

The Libraries

Layers of history, art and design: located in the heritage Masonic and Buckland Buildings, The Libraries at The Hotel Britomart are a series of one-of-a-kind spaces for select private functions, and for guests of The Hotel Britomart.

The Lounge

With artworks by Ralph Hotere and Shane Cotton and brick walls revealing layers of history, The Lounge gives cocktail function guests the chance to sink into sumptuous banquettes or gather around its beautiful bar.

The Chef's Library

A private dining room hosting up to eight guests for sublime meals by executive chef Tom Hishon (with exceptional wines to match). The adjacent kitchen allows easy conversation with the chefs as each course is served.

The Wine Library

The loft-like Wine Library is lined with high shelves filled with bottles and lit by a chandelier of hand-crafted glass. Its central kauri table is the focus of tailored wine tastings or private dinners.

The Papuke Room

Filled with light and the textures of ancient native timber and century-old brick, the Papuke Room is a generous, flexible space that can host seated dinners, cocktail functions, presentations and meetings.

Our tailored elopement packages are all about you. Whether you are looking for an intimate day for two or a celebration with your closest family and friends. Our The Landing Suites offer the perfect backdrop when you say " I do". Maximum 20 guests. From $2800.

Intimate Weddings - The Papuke Room

Filled with light and textures of ancient native timber and century-old brick, The Papuke Room is a generous space that can be decorated for your individual needs. Speak to our events team and let us create your perfect wedding day. Maximum 50 guests. From $289 per person.
