Jade describes herself as an outgoing, driven and passionate person. She enjoys being busy. All of the time. And when you hear what she manages on a daily basis you'll be in awe of this woman like we are.
She says her three "little" businesses (she's being humble, they are hugely popular) keep her busy, and the key to her success is her support network: partner Brad, his daughter Imogen, her friends, family, and their cat Luna and puppy Nala.
When she does get a chance to relax – definitely not during wedding season – Jade loves spending time with animals and enjoying outdoor activities like scuba-dibing and hiking.
We caught up with Jade as she promotes her newest business, the Hitch'd Wedding Fair , which will be held on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 2018 in Kumeu, Auckland.

How did the opportunity to own Hitch’d come about?
When I received notice about Hitch’d being up for sale, I jumped at the opportunity!
It was never a plan to buy or start a wedding fair, however my current businesses are focused on the wedding industry so it made sense. I have always wanted to get into event management so Hitch’d puts the wedding industry and event management together perfectly. I'm also really looking forward to meeting and working alongside all the wonderfully talented vendors within the industry.
What do you love most about weddings?
I love how unique each wedding is. Every wedding showcases two unique personalities coming together and creating their own love story.
We have worked so many weddings over the season and not one has been remotely similar to another, but all so beautiful in their own way!
Are you married yourself?
No, I'm not yet married. However, I will be very prepared to plan of my own wedding after working so many weddings and meeting so many talented vendors.
My partner has received many hints since working in the industry... stay tuned.
What do you hope brides-to-be and their friends/family get out of this year’s Hitch’d Bridal Fair?
I hope that brides-to-be and their friends and families enjoy a wonderful weekend of wedding planning and inspiration for their special day.
We have more than 70 vendors this year, live music, food trucks, and free car parking!
What makes Hitch’d different from other wedding shows?
Hitch’d Wedding Fair prides itself on showcasing Auckland’s best boutique wedding vendors.
- Hitch’d runs over two days (this year it's the 12th and 13th of May) rather than only the one day.
- While there is no time limit, we do sell tickets on session times. Brides come to a wedding show or fair to meet and greet the vendors, session times help both the brides and vendors for that one on one time.
- We limit the vendors per category so brides are able to get a full rounded experience of all wedding vendor categories.
- We offer affordable ticket pricing at only $5, free car parking, food trucks and live music.
