"What a weekend. Mark has picked his suit and he looks so good! We got our rings and went to a beautiful wedding. Too much fun.
Mark has gone with a blue suit, a waistcoat, a white shirt and a bow tie. He was tossing up between grey or blue, everyone liked the blue it seemed to suit him better (no pun intended!). It was busy at Frank Casey but the ladies were really helpful. I think Mark tried about 15 different bow ties in order to make his decision. He has definitely picked well. Now we just need to get the measurements of the groomsmen and that part is all sorted.
After our appointment at Frank Casey we headed into the city to see Grant at Carats Jewellery. The rings were looking beautiful and ready to be picked up. Grant did a great job fitting the ring size to match my engagement band. Mark and I were both so excited that we wore them in the car all the way home!!
I’ve managed to send out all the invitations this week. We also bought some wood to make some we dding signs. This part I love; I enjoy being creative and making things. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with that.
I managed to find a heap of tealight candle holders, even silver ones – it feels good to get another thing ticked off the list.
I’m finding it hard to track down some attire for Mark’s nephews who will be the ring bearers. I know exactly what I’m looking for which sometimes makes it harder to find! I want them to wear blue shorts with a white shirt and a little bow tie. I’m also going to try my luck and see if they’ll wear suspenders too (they’re so cute). So far after a lot of hunting I’ve managed to get everything except the shorts. Fingers crossed I’ll find something soon.
Also, My mum has been really helpful and organised the accommodation in Matakana for us girls. Then Mark’s groomsman Brad has arranged the boys' accommodation. It has been great to have all of that taken care of.
Next up is our meeting with Natalie from Floramay Flowers. I’m really eager to meet with her as I love flowers! Hopefully what I like or something similar will be in season.
I am starting to feel the pressure a little bit as we try to balance the planning and meetings alongside work. In saying that, I am really loving it and every spare second I’m thinking about it or searching for ideas.
It seems every person we meet through the New Zealand Weddings ‘Win your Dream Wedding’ process is the best in the business. We feel so lucky and will never forget this amazing journey.
