Sparkling diamonds, Chanel-inspired beauty and the newest Bonbon on the block – we bring you this week’s Bridal Buzz.
Shake your Bonbon
Viktor & Rolf, the creators of the iconic Flowerbomb, are back with a sweet new scent – literally. Bonbon draws inspiration from designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren’s love of the classic bow and its resemblance to the cellophane-wrapped candy of our childhoods. As the name suggests, caramel is the key note in this flirty fragrance, with the chewy toffee aroma infused throughout the top, middle and base of the perfume. The saccharine scent is balanced by touches of mandarin, peach and orange blossom with cedar, sandalwood and amber rounding things off. Sound like this could be your new signature fragrance? You’d better snap it up quickly. If the success of Flowerbomb is anything to go by, Bonbon will be flying off the shelves.
All that glitters
We’re taking inspiration straight from the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week, with sparkling blush and silver tones from Chanel. There’s no better time to shine like a star than on your wedding day, and while the Chanel styling is not completely aisle-friendly (we’re looking at you, sneakers), we love the shimmering pop of highlight beneath the lash lines of the models on the runway. Achieve a much more subtle and feminine version of this look by applying a light press of pigment powder to the inner corners of the eye. Add a further boost of radiance by using a white or nude pencil liner along the water line of your lower lashes to really make your peepers pop.
You don’t have to be the Duchess of Cambridge to sport a statement-coloured stone on your ring finger. In fact, we probably have Catherine herself to thank for the resurgence of bold bling, with many jewellers now incorporating coloured diamonds and gem stones into their core collections alongside the classic white. Play with subtle hints of colour by choosing a champagne, pink champagne or yellow diamond, or really make an impact with a black diamond, ruby, sapphire or aquamarine.
Put a smile on the face of your guests before or after your big day with three-dimensional invitations and thank you cards. These stunning cardboard creations from Romantique could also double as place cards for table settings and therefore become a pillar of your wedding theme.
