Eagerly awaiting to see what bridal hairstyles will be making their way down the New Zealand Weddings Magazine Collection runway at this years' New Zealand Fashion Week? We talk to Joico's Leisa Welch about her fave looks and what we can expect to see next week.
Can you New Zealand Weddings brides a quick teaser on what they can expect to see on the runway from Joico this year?
Leisa: For my Joico bridal hair looks at Fashion Week this year, think gorgeous, bouncy, healthy waves and simple up-dos with a twist.
What details do you think will be big in bridal hair in 2018, and beyond?
Whilst our obsession with the boho influence will continue, I think it will begin to feel a little more grown-up and polished.
What details would you love to see a comeback, when it comes to bridal hair?
As much as I love boho, lived-in hair, I secretly wish for the return of the old school Hollywood glamour, of course, with a modern edge. I LOVE Veronica Lake inspired hair.
What kind of emotion or feeling do you want to evoke at New Zealand Fashion Week with your bridal hair creations?
For the show this year I wanted to create looks that evoke that old school glam feel, with a lived-in finish. Soft and feminine.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to brides when choosing their overall look?
My advice to brides is always the same: Stay true to your own style and choose something timeless.
