Winehouse began as an exclusive venue catering for weddings and corporate events around five years ago. It is a beautiful old homestead that was moved on to the desired site from two kilometres away and has been restored to its former glory.
The established gardens provide a lush landscape to enjoy and offer many photographic opportunities, but there are plenty more reasons to have your ceremony and reception here. We spoke to Sam of Winehouse about what makes this humble space an amazing wedding venue.
What makes Winehouse as a wedding venue unforgettable?
Winehouse looks after as many aspects of the wedding including food, beverage, planning and hiring the additional pieces to enhance your day. It is a day that is well managed in a beautiful exclusive setting that everyone can enjoy and relax as things are taken care of for you.
Tell us about the spaces Winehouse offers for ceremony-reception-party?
Your ceremony can take place on the croquet lawn that over looks the bridal waterfall and intimidating rocky landscape. With plenty of room in the pavilion for the reception we can seat up to 150 in this space but is also enjoyed by numbers as low as 30-40 guests with an exclusive feeling.
What food and beverage choices are on offer?
The most popular menu choice is shared plates where the meal is designed to be shared amongst friends and family on separate dishes allowing a mix of local produce and not restricting anyone to choose what they must have to have for dinner.
We have house brewed beer and our own wine also; This means it is a full dining experience with skilled wait staff looking after you throughout the night.
What has the recent addition of your pavilion extension meant for hosting larger numbers?
The pavilion extension allows for weddings meeting maximum capacity to add another 75m2. This allows for more space for varied seating to make the reception more comfortable.
What is your top tips for couples searching for their ideal wedding venue?
You need to make sure that the venue is right for you and you can imagine yourself in the space. The venue needs to make you feel comfortable and relaxed, this means the less you need to do to champion the space. Choosing a venue that includes tables, chairs, linen & sourcing the finer details for you day makes the tick list shorter for you to enjoy the day as it happens. If you can find a venue like this I think it’s a bonus.
