"Another busy week! Friday night was a late one.
Nicole, Mark’s sister came round to help with the candles; we made them for the favors. Nicole and I had a girls' night with wine and The Bachelor . It was great! And so kind of Nicole to help.
The following day I met up with Ellie (bridesmaid) to head to Barrefigure, what a workout that was. I’m still feeling it. It was lots of fun and something different as it’s a mixture of Pilates, yoga and ballet. Luckily we took the beginner class as that was challenging enough.
After lots of fun there we headed to lunch and then shoe shopping. I have my wedding dress fitting coming up so I need the shoes I’ll be wearing on the day. I’ve been looking for something simple, comfortable and nothing too high. Unfortunately after a lot of hunting I didn’t manage to find any but once I got home I ordered some online from The Iconic – hopefully they will fit and arrive in time. It’s a bit of a risk as I’m short on time, but I really like them.
Earlier in the week we met with Jarrod from Mix it DJ, who gave us a lot to think about. This area is definitely Mark’s forte so he has taken charge here and is going through the song list to choose what we want played. Thank goodness, because I am terrible at that sort of thing.
We also need to decide on our first dance song and what will be played while we sign the register. I already know I want to walk down the aisle to a song by Alex and Sierra. They are one of my favourites when it comes to music. We are so lucky, Jarrod is not only playing at the reception but at the ceremony as well.
We also met with Natalie from Floramay Flowers. This was really exciting for me, I love flowers and Natalie is so lovely; she made [the decisions] really easy, she is so talented! Some of the flowers I love are not in season during April, but Natalie showed me options that look similar. I can’t wait to see my bouquet.
Mark has decided on a one stem flower buttonhole for himself and his groomsmen. Simple but elegant.
This week I’ve had so much help and my Dad and Mark’s Dad have both been checking in, wondering how the plans are going and what’s happening. I feel like everything is happening so quickly.
Time is flying by. I’ve started to count down the days with the kids in my class. They’re pretty excited too!
Jody from I Do Photography will be capturing our big day. Photos are something you get to keep forever and help you to remember the day. Mark and I are both looking forward to this.
