Dylan and I met at a Halloween Party in 2012. He proposed on a romantic Helicopter ride to the top of Cecil Peak in Queenstown in April 2014. After a two year engagement we were married at Trent's Vineyard in Christchurch on November 19th 2016 surrounded by 116 friends and family. 

On the morning of the wedding my bridesmaids, my mum and I had breakfast and champagne together before we had our hair and makeup done. 

My dress was white lace and silk, it had removable arm straps for an evening look and my veil was HUUUGE. It was super heavy , but made the look perfect. I went to Baccini and Hill in Melbourne and had my dress made for me.

Dylan wore a black Hugo Boss suit with a black bow tie and waist coat. His four groomsmen wore outfits from Hallensteins. My bridesmaid’s dresses were made by a friend.

The moment we turned into the venue’s driveway we both felt that it was the perfect place for our wedding. It was rustic with loads of greenery and not too big, it felt very comfortable. We chose a Spring wedding because it’s when Peonies are in season. There’s also a high chance of good weather without it being too hot to handle. Flowers Bazaar created our bouquets and Cressy Lane made our amazing table arrangements. I chose white and green as the only two colours as they are simple and timeless.

Our cake was from Sugar Baby Cakery. It was red velvet and white chocolate and lemon, delicious! We served this after the ceremony as we didn’t want it to go uneaten after dessert.

The highlight of the day for both of us was just seeing how many people were there for us to celebrate the happy occasion, and of course the food and dancing.
