Impress your guests with a stationery suite like no other with insights from Wendy Keir of Fox and the Hare (formerly Wendy Maree Collection), one of our Win Your Dream Wedding 2015 Dream Team of suppliers.

What’s Fox and the Hare’s strength when it comes to stationery design?

I like to think that I’m a bit of a mind reader and I’m able to envisage exactly what you imagine for your stationery. Nothing feels better than hearing, “You nailed it!”

How much lead time do you prefer to create stationery for a wedding?

When it comes to creating a bespoke custom design, it’s always a good idea to allow a good six to eight weeks from first contact to completion. This allows us to take the time to getting the design perfect. For ready-made designs, allow three to four weeks. It’s best to give plenty of time as it ensures the process is stress-free.

What’s one way a couple can give their guests a lovely surprise when they open their invitations?

By making it personal, so when a guest opens the invitation, they think, ‘That is so them.’

What’s an important part of a stationery suite that couples shouldn’t skimp on?

Paper quality – no one wants their invitation to look like a brochure. A little luxury card makes a big difference.

What’s an innovative approach you’ve seen recently?

I’m loving wax seals right now. They’re gorgeous.

What makes old-fashioned paper stationery so romantic?

Old-fashioned paper connects you with the traditions we still follow today, giving you a sense of warmth knowing that people have been falling in love and saying their vows for years before you.
