How would you describe your 2015 collection?

    Feminine, elegant, romantic.

    What inspires your work?

Fabric and laces always inspire me.

Which colour themes are woven through your creations this year?

    Blush, oyster and ivory.

Is there a stand-out accessory in your ensembles?

Our gowns usually stand on their own without needing much to finish the look. But we do have a selection of beautiful long veils, earrings and striking headpieces.

What’s one thing every bride to be should remember about ‘standing out for all the right reasons’?

You'll be remembered for how happy you are, so relax and enjoy the day. You’re marrying the love of your life, after all!

What key piece of advice would you give a bride for her big day?

In the process of organising the wedding, you've chosen professionals who will take charge and make things as stress-free as possible. So trust their expertise and focus on enjoying every moment with your loved ones.

Is there a dress style that never goes out of fashion?

The sheath gown is always a classic, as is a full gown with a perfectly fitting bodice. Both have constantly been in the bridal spotlight since the 1950s.

How far in advance would you recommend a bride start the dress-hunting process?

That really depends on the bride. Some are super-organised and others aren’t; we welcome all brides at Vinka Design. I don’t believe in asking brides to make major gown decisions eight months in advance, unless they’re ready to – we start the process three months before the wedding day.

What’s your favourite thing about being a bridal designer?

Meeting and working with amazing people. I love creating a gown a bride will enjoy and cherish for their lifetime. How can you not get a buzz out of that!

How will this year’s collection differ from those in previous years?

The collection always evolves from year to year, but one thing remains constant: our goal to create stunning couture gowns that are as individual as you are.
