Benefit’s Aimie Fiebig tells us how to achieve Jane’s glowing look.
To achieve Jane’s soft, voluminous curls, I applied ghd Total Volume Foam to the strands while they were still damp. After drying the hair with a hairdryer, I created curls with hot curling tongs, coiled them tightly and pinned them up. After an hour, I unpinned the curls and brushed them out with a wide-tooth comb – Davines’ This is a Medium Hairspray kept the look strong all day.
Laying the Foundations
We needed Jane’s makeup to last for six hours, so I used Benefit’s POREfessional to ensure it was well primed. Using my fingertips, I lightly dabbed Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer beneath Jane’s eyes and around her nose, following it with a light layer of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation over her entire face. I set the look with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder – to maintain a dewy finish, I only applied powder to the T-Zone.
Jane’s brows were quite full by themselves, so I simply filled in gaps with subtle flicks of Benefit’s Light Brow Zings. A coat of Gimme Brow kept the hairs in place.
I spread Jane’s eyelids with Benefit’s Stay Don’t Stray, followed by a dusting of Misty Blue Eye Shadow. To open Jane’s eyes up, I curled her lashes then coated them with a layer of Benefit’s They’re Real! Mascara.
Ready, set, glow
I applied Benefit’s Watts Up highlighter to the brow bone, bridge of the nose and the bow of the mouth, then dusted Jane’s cheeks with a light layer of Rockateur. Both products are perfect for natural light, conjuring a subtle glow without being too shimmery.
I finished Jane’s look by pressing Benefit’s rosy Cha Cha tint onto her lips, with a light coat of Fauxmance lipgloss over the top.
