With the keywords soft, natural and sweetly feminine in mind, makeup artist Stacy Lee Ghin took Autumn – our Winter 2013 cover girl – to new heights of blow-you-away beautiful. We asked her how she did it, and she spilled her top tips towards achieving that perfect bridal glow.

    Preparation
‘Use a light facial scrub to smooth dry areas of skin. Next, hydrate with a quality moisturiser – remember to use a SPF formula if you’ll be spending lots of time outdoors.’

    Lay the foundations
‘Begin by applying liquid foundation under the eyes with a foundation brush, as if you were using a concealer. Don’t forget to cover your t-zone and nostril area. Use the length of your fingers to buff past your jawline as far as the neck area, blending your foundation so there is no visible line.’

    Fresh, rosy cheeks
‘Apply a light bronzer, preferably with some iridescence, the length of your cheekbone to define the area. With your middle finger, apply a light layer of baby pink cream blush to the apple of the cheek.’

    Natural eyes
‘Brush a pearly pink eye shadow on your entire lid. Create depth by applying a medium mauve colour from the middle to the outer corner of your eye. Use the same colour to line the eyes along the upper and lower lash lines. Make the eye pop by applying a pearly cream colour to your inner eye corner. Curl the lashes then apply a waterproof mascara. Brown mascara will give a softer look, while black mascara will add more definition.’

    Soft brows
‘Fill in the brows with a brow shadow before using an eyebrow brush to tidy the shape.’

    Sweet, feminine lips
‘Line the lips with a soft shade, blot, and apply your final lip colour. For a softer, matte look, lightly powder your lips with a facial powder before applying lipstick.’

    Best-day-of-your-life glow
‘To finish your look, powder your t-zone. For a dewy, glowing finish, lightly spray a hydrating mist to the sides of your face, using your hand as a shield to prevent any mist landing on you nose.’
